Contract / Guarantee

 

Seller/breeder believes the puppy to be healthy and sound at the time of sale.  All health records and pertinent information are transferred to the buyer upon purchase of said puppy. There is a 48 hour health guarantee from the time of pick up. Buyer agrees to have their puppy checked by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of obtaining said puppy. Failure to have this check-up will void this portion of the contract that gives the health guarantee.  If for any reaason at any time in this 48 hours time frame, we will take the puppy back.

There is also a guarantee up to 12 months of age on said puppy for life threatening congenital defects.  Purchaser must provide a statement from a licensed veterinarian stating any such defects.  This does not include hip/elbow or patella deformities and/or abnormalities caused by injury, neglect or other environmental conditions.  If there turns out to be a life-threatening defect, the seller may elect to give a partial refund or replace the puppy with a similar puppy from the next available litter (same color, sex, etc.).  

Once said dog leaves breeder's premises, ALL veterinary expenses incurred are the buyer’s responsibility.  

I have done my research into dog foods. Your puppy is currently fed Purina Pro Plan Chicken and Rice (NOT the shredded blend), Your puppy is to remain on the PPP and once she/he is about a year old, transition to the adult Purina Pro Plan Chicken and Rice (again, NOT the shredded blend).  Please note, with the discovery of certain (and many) dog foods linking heart disease (DCM) in dogs, changing /feeding to a different brand is NOT recommended.

Although we (seller) do our best to estimate the height/weight the puppy will be at maturity, we cannot guarantee it.  

The buyer(s) acknowledges that the said dog/puppy is being purchased for the purpose of companion/pet dog only. Buyer agrees to have said dog spayed/neutered at the appropriate age. Breeder recommends to spay/neuter no earlier than 12 months of age.  We have found that the hormones produced during the first 12-18 months are necessary for the proper growth/joint health of your puppy.  Buyer(s) must provide the seller with a spay/neuter verification by your veterinarian, upon doing so, the seller will provide the buyer with an ASDR registration application. This puppy is being sold as a PET ONLY and is not to EVER be used for breeding. 

Buyer also agrees to create/maintain an Instagram account for their Legends puppy and to follow the breeders IG and add @legendsminiaussies in your bio account OR ONLY IF SELLER AGREES, buyer agrees to send breeder an regular update/photos on the status of the puppy.  Please be aware, that as the breeder, I love/care about these puppies we place into your home/care.  I always want to know how my puppies are doing.  If I reach out to you, you are expected to respond.   If you are not in agreement to creating AND maintaining an IG account for your Legends puppy, I am NOT the breeder for you.  There are plenty of "less than reputable breeders" out there who don't care about the long term well being of their puppy and you can purchase a puppy from somebody else if you can't agree to my terms.  This is non negotiable.  I care about my puppies and I have high standards for my buyers.  

At any time you are unable to provide a safe, responsible home or decide, for whatever reason, that keeping your Legends puppy, you must contact me first. IF I am able to take the puppy/ dog back, I will. If I am unable to, I will do everything in my power to help you find a new suitable home. The breeder will NOT be obligated to pay any costs/refunds to buyer(s) for the return of said dog. If the buyer rehomes/transfers ownership of said puppy/dog w/o breeders knowledge/agreement, the breeder can at any time, 1) take legal action against buyer for breaking this contract and/or 2) take back possession of said puppy/dog from the person to whom said puppy/dog was illegally rehomed to.  You may NOT rehome this puppy w/o my knowledge and w/o speaking directly to any potential new placements. Bottom line is I want to know where my puppies go. I don’t just sell a puppy and wash my hands and movd on. 

  • Buyer agrees to keep seller informed of any telephone or address changes ______ 
  • Buyer agrees to make an Instagram account and post regularly______
  • Buyer agrees to never, at any time, sale, give away, abandon, dump, take to a shelter or relinquish to a rescue of said puppy_____
  • Legends is a registered name and is required in front of all registered names ie: "Legends Kate the Great". __________
  • Buyer agrees to crate train their puppy______
  • Buyer agrees to spay/neuter, but not before ONE YEAR _______
  • Buyer agrees that any part of this contact broken may be held liable for damages of up to $5000.00______

PLEASE KNOW, WE CARE ABOUT OUR PUPPIES FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THEIR LIVES.  THIS CONTRACT STIPULATES THAT MY LOVE FOR MY PUPPIES GO FAR BEYOND THE EIGHT WEEKS THEY ARE WITH US.  IF YOU CANNOT ABIDE BY THIS CONTRACT, PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A PUPPY FROM ME.  ALSO, DO NOT AGREE TO MY CONTRACT AND THEN TEXT ME AFTER YOU HAVE PICKED UP YOUR PUPPY AND TELL ME THAT YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DO THE THINGS YOU AGREED TO.  NOT COOL
